We’re standing behind you

The window is your mirror

We‘re filming your reflections

In the window

You can see

The teardrop on her cheek

The other tear — is in your hair

Reach up and wipe the tear

With your thumb

Roll the tear on your fingers

As if water — is on the wings

of a butterfly_

Now, your face is dry

You point and say something

Insignificant like

“See that gas station down there.”
